Thought for the Week

 

With the dawning of Spring - finally! - and the arrival of sunny skies this weekend in Victoria, I have been enjoying some spring cleaning and some de-cluttering.  How I have fallen in love with throwing things away! It feels like a huge winter weight off and I love the feeling of lightness it leaves behind.  You just want to sigh a giant "ahhhh". :-)

As well as de-cluttering physical "stuff" I have been doing some reading that seems particularly timely right now.  I am reading "The Gifts of Imperfection" by Brene Brown and it is a wonderful journey from "what will people think?" to "I am enough".  I find this resonating given that people are moving into new jobs, working in new environments and the insecurity of change is around us.  Brene also does an excellent TedX talk on vulnerability that is worth taking the time to listen to.

So, a quick reminder that you are indeed enough as you go through these times of change and transition!  And Brene's materials might just be the reminder you need right now! You may also find some interesting "stuff" on her blog!
