Conroy JonesI am currently completing my contract with CARE Employment Services. Over 10 years experience working with social programs. Work experience from the UK, Canada, South Africa and the Middle East. A proven track record as a Career Counsellor, Case Manager, Employment Advisor, Labour Market Officer, Facilitator, Trainer and Job Placement Worker. Specialised in working with multi-barriered youth, long-term unemployed and under-represented, disenfranchised groups.  I am interested in work in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland.

 

Education:  Master's in Communication and an Adult Teacher Training Certificate. Completed Models, Theories and Ethics courses for Career Practitioners and in the process of "grandfathering" for the Career Development Practitioner Certification (CCDP). Thorough knowledge of C4, and the ability to quickly learn new software packages. Experienced at facilitating Job Clubs and arranging employment fairs. Good understanding of web architecture, marketing and graphic design.

Change and transition are well under way in our sector as the successful proponents/contractors have been announced for the new BC Employment Program. Many front line practitioners may not have had the time to consider the changes that are coming to the work we do in funded employment programs. Join us for this lunch-hour presentation that will recap the basics of the new BCEP service delivery structure and the key roles that will be staffed in the new Employment Service Centres. This webinar is no charge to members as a pilot/test of the BCCDA integrating webinar training into our services for practitioner members.
