Journeys of Exploration & Discovery |
Greetings!
A funny thing happened while we were selecting which western adventures to include in our 2013 roster: our travelers stepped forward to help us decide!
We've had so many requests for the Lewis & Clark Trail (which frankly didn't generate as much interest after the Bicentennial was over) that we have included it - once again - on the schedule. But we need your help: to make this highly specialized Vanishing Trails Expedition go, we need a minimum of 15 passengers. If you have always hankered to follow in the wake of the Corps of Discovery and learn about this iconic American journey, send for your registration packet today! |
Fall Civil War Programs
Fields of Valor - Oct. 6-14

Another program which has been included on next year's roster because of client requests is our brand new 7-day Legendary North Dakota, scheduled for July 21-27. Following the paths of legenday North Dakotans Teddy Roosevelt, Lewis & Clark, Sacagawea, and George Armstrong Custer, the itinerary also explores legendary places like the world's only International Peace Garden, the Scandinavian heritage of the state, a bison herd with three genuine white buffalo, a Viking Ship which actually crossed the Atlantic (but from the New World to the Old) plus much more!

Smallpox has been a scourge through much of human history, and few were more impacted than the Natives of North America. But did you know that Meriwether Lewis actually brought smallpox vaccine with him on his epic voyage with the intent of alleviating the suffering of his newfound friends? What happened to that vaccine and the subsequent results are the subject of this What if recently added to our Explore the Old West history website. |
