Supplier Spotlight
There are certain places where we happily return time after time because of the unfailing hospitality and quality experience they provide. This month's spotlight shines on Fort Abraham Lincoln near Mandan, North Dakota. The living history reeanctors here convince you that Lt. Col. Custer and his lovely wife have just stepped out for a horseback ride on the prairie and will return momentarily. Fort Abraham Lincoln is a state park - and with the adjacent On-A-Slant earth lodge village - provide an outstanding learning experience wrapped in an entertaining package. |
What If?
Teddy Roosevelt's name is closely tied to
North Dakota, and he treasured the years he spent here and the lifelong friendships made. He even went so far as to claim that he wouldn't have become president if weren't for those formative lessons learned on his beloved Little Missouri ranch. But did you know that he also influenced a great deal more of American history and was critical in the development of our national park system? |
