Selection Assistant for Utility Locating Technologies: Web Tool and Report

Greetings!

Selection Assistant for Utility Locating Technologies (SAULT) is a prototype web-based software tool that serves as decision support for identifying effective utility-locating methods for particular site and project environments. This prototype, which is best viewed in Internet Explorer, is in the beta test phase. You can send your comments on the tool to SHRP2@nas.edu. SAULT is available on the following page.

SHRP 2 Report S2-R01-RW-2: Development of the Selection Assistant for Utility Locating Technologies is the second report published from SHRP 2 Renewal Project R01: Encouraging Innovation in Locating and Characterizing Underground Utilities. While the first publication focused on reporting existing and emerging technologies and recommending subsequent research work in this area, this report presents the development of SAULT. Report S2-R01-RW-2 is available as an Adobe PDF.

SHRP 2 Report S2-R01-RW: Encouraging Innovation in Locating and Characterizing Underground Utilities is the first report from SHRP 2 Renewal Project R01. This report explores underground utility locating practices, examines current and emerging technologies, and identifies potential areas for improvement and for subsequent research. Report S2-R01-RW is available as an Adobe PDF.
