On Graduation day, I am never sure who is more excited:  our girls who are graduating or their family members.  Parents are snapping pictures, taking videos, praising their daughters, thanking the staff and beaming with pride.  For some, it is the first family member to graduate from high school. Justice League of Street Food Benefits Excelsior on June 30th
 
Denver's favorite street food heroes are throwing a killer party on Saturday, June 30th from 5-10 PM at the Denver Design Center, 685 S. Broadway St. and guess what?  It benefits Excelsior Youth Center. Enjoy great food from Denver food trucks including: Steubens, Fat Sully's Pizza, Denver Biscuit Company, Pinche Tacos, Quiero Arapas, Biker Jims Gourmet Dogs, Denver Pie Truck, Stick It To Me, Yatai, Vegan Van and Aiko Pops. Live entertainment, activities for kids, chalk art demonstrations from local artists and Excelsior girls plus create your own chalk art designs. Grab your friends and enjoy a great summer evening! 
Missy Franklin Helps Excelsior Teens

 

Missy Franklin, Olympic-bound swimming superstar, found time in her hectic training schedule in mid-June to visit teen girls at ExcelsiorYouth Center.  "Since age 13, Missy has been a big fan of Excelsior's work to help troubled girls," says Joan Gabrielson, Executive Director.  "We are a big fan of Missy's and look forward to celebrating her and the summer Olympic Games."
