The Bay Family

The SPLASH Drive to benefit Excelsior's summertime swimming for our girls was celebrated with a party on June 7th hosted by Missy Franklin, winning world class swimmer. Donors delivered both cash and pool items for the girls' enjoyment. Many thanks to Missy and her parents, DA and Richard, who continue to support Excelsior's Girls Giving Campaign. Missy, age 16, just completed her sophomore year at Regis Jesuit High School and she shares Excelsior's message with her classmates and swimming community. Thank you, Missy!

"Franklin is the best female age-group swimmer of all time, with 15 total individual National Age Group records. Only Michael Phelps has more (20) and Franklin still has 3 full years left to chase him down," writes Braden Keith, Swimmerscircle.com

We would also like to thank our the following donors:  Aurora Gateway Rotary Club, Energy Corporation of America Foundation, Jana & Fred Bartlit, Colleen Abdoulah, Vicki Byrne, Ed Lewis and John Ley.

"Excelsior has always done an excellent job with social, emotional, & spiritual wellness.

Now we want to focus on our girls' physical wellness. There is strong research on the correlation between exercise and decrease in depression and an increase in self esteem."
