Excelsior believes that all girls can succeed and one of the keys to this success is the mastery of Independent Living and Life Skills. The typical client in the residential program at Excelsior has had many disruptions in her life which may include multiple out of home placements and changing schools several times. Leading the Independent Living and Life Skills Program at Excelsior is Heather Hurd who has stepped into the newly created role of Independent Living Coordinator.

This month Excelsior completed its 2010 Data Report which documents demographics and outcomes in a variety of areas and demonstrates progress toward several goals set by the agency.As our industry changes Excelsior's goal has been to respond effectively and provide services that meet those demands.
