Excelsior has Spooktaluar Halloween

Halloween and all the fun that surrounds the holiday began early at Excelsior this year.  On Friday October 15th, Excelsior Youth Center hosted its Annual Spook-talur Halloween Carnival.  Many of the girls look forward to this day, as it is filled with carnival games, face painting and lots of treats.   Our event this year was extra special as many staff and community volunteers jumped in to help with the event. Keep reading.

Helping  Girls Get Through The Holidays

The holidays can be a time of great joy and comfort. Family gatherings, re-connecting with relatives and good food are just some of the events. However, this is not the case for some people. All the events listed above can have negative connotations as well.  Keep Reading.


 

New Program

 

Excelsior Opens Specialty Treatment Cottage

October 18th, Excelsior opened Summit Cottage to our girls who have been diagnosed with Conduct Disorder.  This Strength Based unit will utilize a Restorative Justice Model of treatment that will meet the needs of girls between the ages of 15-18 years of age who do not respond to the general cottage milieu.
