| October 31st Costume Contest | | With many clever and creative costumes from which to chose, what will your daughter be wearing this year? Remember there is a costume contest judged by the students and faculty.
Of course, this fun filled day would not be complete without NDAE's annual costume parade throughout our hallways. These ghosts and goblins are always welcome here. |

Notre Dame Day!
At this annual celebration of Notre Dame Day, faculty and students gather at a special liturgy to ask Mary, Queen of the Rosary, for her blessings on the school year. As a special remembrance, each freshman receives a single red rose, which symbolizes the beginning of her journey here at NDA. This journey will culminate at graduation when she will receive a bouquet of red roses. The remainder of ND Day is filled with school spirit and unity, parades, class cheers, skits and intramural volleyball games!

Spend a Month in Germany
We are so excited to offer you the opportunity to be the first two NDA students to participate in our exchange program with our sister school in Vechta, Germany in Northern Germany. Currently about 900 girls in grades 5-12 attend the school, Liebfrauenschule. To learn more about the school, please visit www.liebfrauenschule.de, or you could also ask Janina and Viktoria, our current exchange students from Germany, about their school. You will be hosted by a family of a student from Liebfrauenschule as the y are hosted by two of our families.
At this point, we just need to know if there is any interest on the part of our students. The proposed dates are from June 18- July 24, 2012 because we are out of school, and Liebfrauenschule is still in session. Please note that these weeks encompass our summer school period, so if you will be taking classes here, this is not the summer to participate in this program.
If you are interested in participating, please contact our Administrative Assistant, Mrs. Bilac at (310) 839-5289 ext. 325. Once the rest of the details have been worked out, we will contact those on the list with the information on how to proceed. This opportunity is limited to two students, so don't hesitate.
I am so happy to bring this program to NDA at last, Mrs. Tyhurst |
