Carly Syta beats Guinness World Record
 A new Guinness World Record for Marathon Harp Playing was set at NDA in Room 210 on Sunday, October 17 at 10: 53 a.m. by senior, Carly Syta. She started playing the harp the morning before and played all through the day and night, setting a new record of 25 hours and 34 minutes. NDA is proud of Carly and her record breaking event. Ms. Faris Awarded
Congratulations to Ms. Cheryl Faris, Esq., long-time civil rights activist, attorney and NDA teacher who is the proud recipient of the prestigious Judge James A. Kaddo Award! Among her many achievements, Ms. Faris was lauded for serving on the Southern Christian Leadership Conference Executive Board for 16 years (founded by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.) and her vocal presence in the community condemning violence and racism. Congratulations, Ms. Faris! |

Volleyball
Varsity volleyball is ranked #4 in CIF Division-I A. Varsity's overall record is 16-2, and we are currently 2nd in league.
Junior Varsity league record is 3-2 and are currently 3rd in league.
Freshman record is 5-0 and currently 1st in league.
Senior night for volleyball is Friday, November 5th against Marlborough.

Cross Country
The Varsity cross country team is headed into League Finals on Tuesday Novemeber 2nd. Congratulations to Mallory Rawson who has lost only one race all season. The JV cross country team is currently tied for first place with Immaculate Heart with the winner on Tuesday to determine the league championship.

USC TIRP Program
 NDA participated in USC's Teaching International Relations Program (TIRP). The USC students came to NDA campus to teach our freshman Global Civilization classes a four part seminar on challenging global issues.

Notre Dame Academy and Loyola High School students and the Ministries of the California Province of Jesuits participated in the Immigrants' Rights Mass at the Delores Mission Church on October 24, 2010. Father John McGarry presided.
