Notre Dame Day!
At this annual celebration of Notre Dame Day, faculty and students gather at a special liturgy to ask Mary, Queen of the Rosary, for her blessings on the school year. As a special remembrance, each freshman receives a single red rose, which symbolizes the beginning of her journey here at NDA. This journey will culminate at graduation when she will receive a bouquet of red roses. The remainder of ND Day is filled with school spirit and unity, parades, class cheers, skits and intramural volleyball games!

University of California Identifies Top NDA Students
The University of California offers a pathway for eligibility to students identified in the top 4% of their senior class based on course work completed and grades earned in these courses. This pathway also known as Eligibility in the Local Context has three major benefits to selected students: 1) They gain the prestige of being identified by the UC as a top student. 2) By being identified early, these students will benefit from campus outreach programs. 3) Finally, students will know that, as UC-eligible students, they will have a space reserved in the UC system.
Congratulations go to the following NDA students selected by the University of California :
Joyce Aquino Alesandra Espinoza Alena Kim Jessica Liu Carly Syta Maureen Virts Karen Wisniewski

NDA has been chosen to participate in USC's Teaching International Relations Program (TIRP). For four consecutive Fridays, from October 15th to November 5th, college students from USC's School of International Relations will come into the Global Civ classes and, working with Ms. Faris and Ms. Wynn, explore challenging global issues with our students. We expect lively discussions, in-depth presentations, and new perspectives for our freshmen. Stay tuned! |
