Once in a Blue Moon...

As we gear up for summer and begin to look at our calendars to plan for vacation, I'm sure that many of you noticed, as I did, that this July is quite unique. Five Fridays, Five Saturdays and Five Sundays all in the same month! Okay, okay... I didn't gleam this nugget while staring at a calendar. I, like millions of others, was sent a hoax email that said that this July's astrological anomaly only occurred once every 823 years. I did a little bit of digging, and found that this was not the case. However, it is quite rare and should be taken advantage of. And since July 4 falls on a Monday, the first of the five July weekends will be a long four-day weekend! You won't get this opportunity again until July 2016!
Other interesting 2011 tidbits...
This year has four unusual dates:
January 1 1/1/11
January 11 1/11/11
November 1 11/1/11
November 11 11/11/11
But wait, there's more...
-Take the last two digits of your birth year
-Add that number to the age you will be this year
-The result should be 111...for everyone! |
