Lifelong friends and The Clubhouse founders, Chris Larson and AJ Paul, share a passion for the game of golf. They became familiar with golf simulators through a mutual friend who had one in his home in Walcott, IA. During the winter season, Chris and AJ frequented their friend's house to use the simulator, and decided they would like to bring that same experience to the public.
Chris Larson is a professional golf instructor and club fitter who, as the owner of Chris's Custom Clubs, provided golf lessons, club repair, and custom fitting at a variety of locations throughout the Quad Cities to golfers of all ages and abilities. For four consecutive years, Chris has been named as one of the world's top 100 club fitters. Prior to coming to the Quad Cities, Chris was the head professional at the Witch Golf Links in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Ranging from facility management to business finance to information technology, AJ Paul has had a number of unique experiences that have given him the hands on expertise to operate a successful business. These unique experiences include working with various organizations including but not limited to: Disney, The Iowa Cubs, The Carolina Mudcats, QCR Holdings, and AT&T.
The Clubhouse is an upscale indoor golf facility with a luxurious country club atmosphere, featuring state of the art PGA Tour Simulators by aboutGolf, a full bar and comfortable lounge for both golfers and non-golfers, a pro shop with custom fit golf clubs, club repair, apparel and more, and a private board room for corporate events and private parties. The Clubhouse will host regular leagues, tournaments, and contests with amazing prizes, as well as golf fitness clinics, and private golf lessons for all ages and experience levels.
The first and only indoor country club in the Quad Cities, The Clubouse has 4 PGA Tour Simulators that use real clubs and real balls, and are as close to real golf as you can get. Offering both course and range play modes, customers can tee up at one of the more than 50 courses available for the PGA Tour Simulator. Based on pace of play and skill level, it takes an average of one hour to play a full 18 holes. Players can bring their own clubs, but rental and demo sets are also available for players who do not have clubs with them.
