In 1999, HOA and RTC combined the physician offices of Shobha Chitneni, MD, Mario Sy, MD, Farida Rajput, MD, an infusion center and a radiation center all under one roof. This convenience saves individuals both time and energy.
All three doctors are board certified: Drs. Chitneni and Sy, in Hematology and Medical Oncology and Dr. Rajput in Radiation Oncology. Their goal is to provide convenient access to care from an experienced team of physicians. Their staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of care now...and in the future.
Specializing in cancer care and blood disorders, HOA was established in 1994. They offer comprehensive hematological and onco
logical services, including consultation and evaluation, on-site laboratory services, infusion services (chemotherapy, hydration, & infusions therapy) and support services, (including dietary consultations and social services).
In HOA's infusion center, chemotherapy, infusions, and injections are administered to individuals diagnosed with cancer, blood disorders, and other conditions. Seventeen chairs are available in the free-standing clinic. Their clinical staff, comprised of oncology certified RNs and registered/certified Medical Assistants, work closely with Drs. Chitneni, Sy and Sheila Barngrover NP, Nurse Practitioner, to assure individuals receive quality, comprehensive care. An on-site social worker and registered dietician are available to provide individual one-on-one counseling and assist with specific financial and medical needs.
The most advanced treatment options and clinical trials are available to their patients. HOA is committed to furthering the fight against cancer through research. Many patients have the opportunity to participate in clinical research studies. In addition to participating in several National Cancer Institute, (NCI) sponsored clinical trials, they have access to a nationwide database of available cancer research studies. Many questions remain unanswered about cancer. With the help of patients who participate in cancer research studies, they hope to achieve their goal of effectively treating and ultimately curing cancer.

Radiation Therapy Center (RTC) of the Quad Cities was established in 1984. The center was first located at Mercy Hospital in Davenport (now Genesis West) and moved to it's current location in November 1999. RTC is providing patients access to the most advanced treatment in a convenient setting while providing excellent care and service to patients and referring physicians.
The Radiation Therapy Center offers world class technology, including Varian High Energy Linear Accelerator equipped with 120 multileaf collimator to deliver IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) which delivers a higher radiation dose directly to cancer cells while sparing more of surrounding healthy tissues, 3D conformal therapy, IGRT (Image Guided Radiation Therapy) with BrainLAB Exactrac, 3D Ultrasound Technology, conventional enternal beam, Philips Large Bore CT Scanner to map out tumors, and Pinnacle Treatment Planning Systems. With the above equipment RTC is able to offer State-of-the-Art radiation to treat all types of cancers.
Most recently, The RTC has brought on board Topex Superficial X-Ray Therapy to treat all types of skin cancers. The RTC is only center in the Quad Cities to provide treatment for skin cancer with this machine. In addition, RTC is able to provide accelerated partial breast irradiation for selective breast cancer patients.

The staff at RTC is highly experienced and board certified. Their goal is to provide high quality care in a friendly comfortable environment.
RCCQC hosts an annual Cancer Survivors' Day Celebration in June. This year's event will take place at Our Lady of Lourdes in Bettendorf. All patients and survivors of HOA & RTC are invited to attend.
