FAA OK’s Use of Apple iPads During Takeoff and Landing
In mid-December, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) gave American Airlines pilots approval to use Apple iPad tablets in flight in lieu of traditional, heavy paper flight manuals. American Airlines pilots are first to get approval to use iPads in their electronic flight bags.
