Dear Fellow Patriots,

I trust you had a great Christmas, not only exchanging gifts and spending time with family and friends (and eating!!), but especially being thankful for the coming of our Savior.

I anticipated receiving a gift that didn't materialize.  But since John Boehner seems to be an Indian Giver, I guess I should have known better.  I woke up Thursday to find we had been given a lump of coal.  Instead of standing firm in opposition to a mere two-month tax deal in favor of forcing a one-year commitment, Boehner gave in to Obama and Harry Reid.  The house Republicans voted decidedly for the one-year form of the bill.  The Democrat-controlled Senate and Obama of course wanted the two-month extension.

So what did Boehner do?  He and Reid conspired to reach a deal with no one else around.  Boehner caved in a major way.  With "conservatives" like Boehner leading things, when push comes to shove, he gets shoved and doesn't know how to push.  The end result is no different than if Nancy Pelosi were still in charge.

"Conservatives" like Boehner must go.  In 2012 we not only have to make sure Obama is not re-elected, we must also work to make sure that true principled conservatives are leading the way in Washington.  So, we have our  work cut out for us this year.   We need 100% grassroot involvement.  In case it needs to be clearer, 100% involvement means that we need every one of you to do your part.   Please read this  TOCB newsletter and all you receive this year from us as we help you do your part in Taking Our Country Back.

God bless and happy new year.
Randy

Dear Friends,
This is the year where change must be made.  If we don't make change this year, it may be too late.  So what can we do?  We must make an impact.  Let me ask a question - a really simple question:  which makes a greater impact - a few people or a large number of people?  We can better get the attention of the media and the politicians and our fellow citizens if we demonstrate a large citizen following.  One easy way to do this is to have your attendance at our meetings.  If we have 500 instead of 150, the impact will be more.  If we had 100 at a sign waving rather than 35, the impression will be greater.   Greater attendance is one thing we can do in addition to making phone calls to politicians and contacting our friends and neighbors.  During our 2012 meetings, we will focus not only on bringing in good and helpful speakers, but also on equipping us to make a difference.  So, see you at the next meeting!!

...Putting Candidates in the Spotlight

We have established a website that will help us post information about the candidates - local, state and national.  It is simple to post news articles or your personal insights.
Check out this site by clicking here.  You can also find the site by looking at the links on the right hand side of our Taking Our Country Back website.  Look for the link that says "Spotlight on Candidates."  At the bottom of each of the candidates sites is a comment section.  You can insert web links or type your comments.  Check it out.
