Dear Fellow Patriots,

This newsletter will find us scattered across the country as many in our group head back to their summer home.  This just means that our work force has expanded nationally!

Locally, we have several opportunities/events that you need to be aware of so that you can participate and invite others.  So, please read all the way to the bottom of this newsletter.

Thanks and God bless,

Randy

For our meeting, Dr. Swier's focus will be on Muslim Extremism, a subject we cannot afford to ignore.

May Meeting of TOCB

Cris' Soapbox  soap box

While our membership continues to grow, thanks to the efforts of our membership committee, we really should have more members for the size of our population than we have currently. More than that, we need to reach as many voters as possible. We reach people on multiple fronts. One way that is most effective is yard signs. Studies show that every sign is worth 7 votes. Think of it, seven votes for every sign!

We have raised the money to order more signs. Before we can move forward with placing this order we need someone to receive the signs and be responsible for selling them.

Our efforts in Taking Our Country Back are for all of us. But, to acheive our goals requires hard work andsacrifice. I am pleading for someone to step up and be our "Sign Person". Imagine if we had signs on every street.  And meeting notices at major intersections prior to our monthly meetings.

Please join our army to Take Our Country Back by accepting responsibility for this portion of our battle plan. Contact Cris @ crisw57@hotmail.com

Booth at Dearborn Classic Car Rally

... May 7, 3:00 - 6:00

On a regular basis, classic car lovers display their cars along Dearborn Street in Englewood.  The next Dearborn Street event will be on May 7.  We will have a Taking Our Country Back information booth set up in front of Earl Warren's law office at 359 W. Dearborn.  We will start at 3:00 and end about 6:00 or as things begin to wind down at the rally.  This is a great time to meet new people and make friends and gain new members to our group.  We ask as many of you as possible to come spend a few minutes or a few hours mingling with the crowd, handing out info and generally standing up for our country.

Ryan Budget - Pathway to Prosperity

There are so many issues that are of utmost importance to our nation and even to our national survival, that it seems impossible to pick A most important.  However, if there is, it would have to be the budget.  If we become bankrupt as a nation, other issues will pale in comparison.

I have been studying the Budget proposal made by Congressman Paul Ryan, the chairman of the House Budget Committee.  It has the backing of many conservatives.  I am putting together a presentation to help us understand it.  I believe we have to understand it before we can either support or oppose it. Please go to our website, to the Issues tab and then the budget tab to do research yourself.

Here is a great and simple presentation by the Heritage Foundation explaining our budget and debt situation using the example of an HOA (Home Owner Association).
