Founders' Message

"Back-To-School" conjures images of
anticipation and excitement. The realization that summer is over is
emphasized by the increased buzz in our Fizika Group offices. So much is happening!
Fizika events are being scheduled and our booths will be seen at
fall conferences. Our partners have added products and curricula to make
teaching easier. This month's featured partner, Foundational Fitness, exemplifies this positive energy with an emphasis on mind-body connection and on student-driven success.

Partner Profile: The Mind-Body Connection
John Ditter | They are the same students and
the same teachers, but it's a completely different physical education experience.
"It's all
about the mind-movement engagement," says John Ditter as he describes the "functional
fitness" equipment he and business partner Mike Meeteer promote through Foundational Fitness, a Fizika Group partner. Much more portable, versatile and
affordable than traditional fitness machines, Foundational Fitness products
focus on Mike Meeteer | resistance and movement training that enhance the brain-body
connection. "Both teachers and students need to be engaged with what they are
doing," Ditter explains. This engagement leads to numerous benefits even beyond
demonstrated gains in fitness levels; students learn to work together and even
to train each other, and discipline problems decrease. "It's all about harnessing the energy of the group."

Foundational Fitness products

connection. Both teachers and students need to be engaged with what they are
doing.
"Kids can see through things much
quicker than we think, and they know when they've had a good workout," says
Ditter. "We educate them about the equipment, and let them take ownership to
plan their workout. We let them see the results, and to take responsibility for those results."
