Erin Shaw

Erin Shaw is an MFA candidate in painting at the University of Oklahoma. A graduate of Baylor University (BFA 1999), Erin has been an art educator for roughly 84 years, give or take. She wears Billy Bob teeth when it's especially relevant but is pretty sure that mentioning it here is not.

Decorative Arts and the American West

"Decorative Arts and the American West," the seventh biennial symposium of the Charles M. Russell Center for the Study of Art of the American West at the University of Oklahoma, will take place on Friday, April 20, in the Mary Eddy and Fred Jones Auditorium of the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, 555 Elm Ave., in the OU Arts District.

Paseo First Friday Gallery Walk
The First Friday gallery walk is held on the first Friday and Saturday of every month. The walk starts on Friday at 6pm and lasts until 10pm and on Saturday from 12pm to 5pm.

Kingfisher Festival of the Arts is accepting Artists applications for the festival. Send short bio along with 3 photos of examples of work to Scott Osborn at kingfisherfestofarts@yahoo.com.  All work must be orginal art in all mediums created by the artist.  The outdoor Festival will take place on May 19th from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in beautiful historic downtown Kingfisher, OK.  Booth space is $40 for a 10x10 booth with 3 sided access.  The festival is also booking musical, dance, performances, poetry reading acts.  See our facebook page for more info.

 

Arts on the Avenue Tahlequah

Arts on the Avenue Tahlequah brings artists and live entertainment together with eateries, and Oklahoma wineries to downtown Tahlequah, Oklahoma on Saturday, June 11th, 2011. We have interactive Native craft demonstrations, bow-making, pottery, basket-weaving, beadwork, and stickball stick-making, among other activities on the Cherokee Square.
