Passage of Dykema Legislation Good News for Vintage Auto Enthusiasts and Small Automotive Businesses
Everyone enjoys the beautiful vintage cars that we often see in local parades. Until now, it's been difficult to register these cars in Massachusetts. This will change because of Rep. Dykema's bill (H3201), which passed this session. This legislation will also give a boost to all the local automotive businesses who supply the auto hobbyists. An article on the bill's passage was recently printed in the Holliston Reporter. |

Steps Toward Greater Transparency
Two new websites give the public better access to state government and budget information.
The new website provides easier access to information about legislation, legislative sessions and the state budget. From the site, you can view legislative formal sessions live online, check the history of bills and view the legislative calendar. The next step needs to be adding online access to legislative committee hearings.
The Center's new "Understanding Our Tax System: A Primer for Active Citizens," provides extensive information including historic state revenue trends and comparisons between Massachusetts and other states. A great site for those who like to dig into the data and helpful background for understanding state financial decision-making. |
