As a quick reminder, on Monday, April 18th, Mt. Top will be closing at 12:30pm and the Temple Office will be closing at 2:00pm in observance of the holiday.  The Temple building, including Mt. Top and Religious School, will be closed on Tues., April 19th.  The building will also be closed on Monday, April 25th for the last day of Pesach. 

In an effort to help maintain the traditions of the holiday, please be aware that outside food should not be brought or sent into the building during the week of Passover.  Those snacks provided by Mt. Top and the Religious School will all be Kosher for Pesach.

To help those who are hungry, and to help many of our congregants clean out their kitchens before Passover, we invite you to bring donations of unopened, non-perishable foods to the Temple up until Monday, April 18th.  We will donate all food collected to local food banks.

No one should be alone for Passover.  If you want to celebrate a seder but circumstances have left you with nowhere to go or have a place at your table for guests, please contact the Temple Office at 732.356.8777.

Just a reminder: Religious School Registration is due! 

Just a quick reminder that Registration for the 2011-2012 Religious School year was sent home early last month.   

As we begin the process of hiring staff and making arrangements for next year, it is vital that we have a good indication of the number of enrolled students.

If you are still holding on to registration forms, please send them back to the Religious School office as soon as possible.  If you have a new student or any questions, feel free to contact Sharon Friedman at 732.356.8777. 

Come learn how to knit at THS on April 17th!

Are you at home wishing you had a hobby?  Maybe you're a student, feeling stressed about an upcoming science quiz, or looking for a break from homework?   Well maybe you'd like to learn how to knit!  If this appeals to you, you are in luck, because we will be offering a free knitting class for beginners this Sunday, April 17th, from 2:00 to 4:00 in the rear of the sanctuary.  Learn now so that when the Fall comes, you can knit yourself a sweater or scarf!  You can also join us in knitting a project for charity of mitzvah project! If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Debby Scheinholtz at debby61@comcast.net and bring size 8 knitting needles and a ball of worsted weight wool.

For each $25 contribution, JWI will send a Mother's Day card to any woman you choose, thanking her for the inspiration to help women in need.  In addition, for every $25 contribution you make to the Flower Project, the Temple Har Shalom Women's Connectionwill receive $5 back from JWI.  The project is an opportunity for us to raise awareness about domestic abuse while we deliver compassion and support to women forced to live in domestic violence shelters.
