LOVE, LIKE ENERGY...

ON EXTENDING LOVE...

You'll be amazed how quickly and clearly renewed spiritual perspective and Loving ways can come to be yours.  When we give ourselves permission to live from the inside, out, we bypass the external conditions society puts on Loving.  In absence of feeling peer pressure to conform, we are freed to express our Loving ways in other dimensions--like what follows, for example:
  

 Making Love...
... is greeting
radiant inner beauty
with a kiss
on a sometimes reluctant hand
knowing the Truth
of the connection.

...is walking arm in arm
quickened by the tales
of yesteryear
listening with rapt attention

in each eternal now. 

...is a hug savored
while bidding farewell
for but a moment of eternity.

the honesty of speech
truthful action, the gifts of Love
extended through
trust

Valentine's Day has lodged itself in the history of our country, particularly as it has shifted from its original intent of exchanging heartfelt expressions of Love, to simple sentiments depicted on a greeting card today.  This holiday is more than a single day dedicated to Loving testimony and gesture.  One of its greater gifts is that it can remind us to Love deeply every day. Yet, where do we find the example for living Lovingly in each moment that comes before us?

Here's one way.  Some say that the greatest gift of Love is to give up one's life for another. While giving up our life for another surely is a most noble gift, spiritually speaking even this misrepresents the ultimate demonstration of the Loving way.  For example, when we go inward and listen to the "still, small voice," we are connecting to the single Source that brings spiritual order to our lives.   Once aware of this inward Truth, we bring glory to its Source by demonstrating its inspirational quality into the Universe.   Coming out of our innocence--much like a child--we express this spiritual form of Love authentically, by being True to our deepest selves.  Indeed, we live from our Essence of Being--which is Love itself.
 

 Spiritually, then, we do give up our lives--we give up living largely from the false beliefs and opinions about ourselves and others--so we can instead extend our divine purpose out into the Universe.  What greater gift of Love could there be, than to extend our divine essence to any and all who are ready and willing to receive it?  This example of spiritual authenticity also frees others to live True to themselves.  Indeed, taking initiative to be what we really are, instead of displaying what others would have us be and do, is the gift that makes all of us free--free to Love purely, in all Love's glory.  Try putting that in an envelope and sending it to a Loved one!

In 2011, let us show the way by inspiring others to live to their fullest, to be only what they really are--divine--so that all may have an opportunity to give and receive the gift of real Love, thus expanding the Universe of Love exponentially. 
 

 Then, truly, each of us can say: I make love all day, every day!

WHAT IT MEANS TO LOVE...

"This is the time when you review your life and decide if you will make different choices for your future.  Pause for a moment and reflect on whether this process has ever fulfilled the expectations you have had for it.  I ask you to consider there is but a single choice you must make if you would bring happiness and peace to your life experience.  Indeed, just this one choice can you make if peace and happiness is what you truly want.

"Resolve to be the Voice for God.  All other choices expect too little and so must leave you unfulfilled.  Resolve that it will be His Eyes you use to see, His Heart to decide the worth of everything.  His Ears will determine what you hear; His Voice will speak the words that all will know to be the truth.

"Resolve that by your presence everyone will know that they are loved.  Let no one escape the healing joy of your forgiveness!  Let nothing of his story distract you from your goal.  It is time now for sin and guilt, lack and suffering and every other denial of your wholeness to be put aside.  There is no reason for you not to love!  I ask this of you because to ask less would be meaningless to the Holy Child of God. 

"Resolve that your strength of trust will be the bridge across which all may walk to find a loving world.  As you accept your role and allow God's Plan to effortlessly unfold through you, you have become the world's witness that love through forgiveness answers every need.

"If, as you consider these things that I suggest, you are tempted to doubt your resolve, then in that moment use my strength of trust in you.  Let me be the bridge to your place of trust, as I ask you to do for others.  Accept my assurance as though it were your own, for such is the bond we share.  There is no point where I begin and where you end.  Only in the ego's world can distinction be made between us. 

"Do not dwell on how difficult this may seem or how long you can hold to your resolve.  Join me but for a moment and let that be enough.  Then join me for another moment when you can, and another after that.  See each one complete unto itself and you will have no fear of loss. 

"Resolve to be the Voice for God for that is what you are.  Decide that you can give the world all that this implies for only in the giving of it will you recognize that it is yours.   Only as you are witness that everyone is loved can you accept God's promise of what you are. 

"Join with me now that together we are the vision that answers and heals the world's need for separateness.  Join with me that together all consciousness may now find and share the peace and strength that is in our Oneness and remember at last what it means to Love."
