Dear Friends of Creation Spirit,
Last week at A Course in Miracles meeting, when greeted with Happy New Year, our friend, Jan, returned wisely with: Happy Now to you! Welcome Wisdom, glad to see you reminding us, yet again.
In years past, I would have begun the January newsletter with: Happy New Year! Of late, however, I have come to relate to such "holidays" as but another opportunity to begin anew, as one of a limitless number of opportunities to acknowledge, accept and demonstrate my inherent divine essence. Of course, it doesn't hurt to be reminded to be happy for a whole year. And yet, if we stop there we soon forget to be happy, or fall back into our old habits of thinking something or someone in the world outside us can make us happy.
Just like Christmas reminds us to live spiritually under the guidance of Christ consciousness daily, Thanksgiving reminds us to be grateful day by day. The infinite number of New Years greetings also do their job admirably, reminding us to be happy right now--to be happy demonstrating our inherent divine nature, and honoring that same inherent divine nature in all.
By doing so, we transcend the simplistic meaning of happiness to authentic JOY, which emanates from a heart truly expressed, thus lavishing joy on one and all.
And so, as we begin what some would label as a brand new year, let us join in reminding one another to celebrate our divine nature every day, to open ourselves to the Wisdom of Christ consciousness, demonstrating our divine nature as a living example for all who come into our journey. Welcome, Wisdom--glad to Be with you again today!
In this issue, there will be several "articles" that speak to Wisdom, each from its own foundation--yet connected by their intent and purpose--and in the means readily available to one and all. Let each speak to you in your heart of hearts. Let each ignite the spark of inspiration that will remind you, in yet another way, of your divinity. The Universe awaits your sparkling example!
Let us now join in wishing all we meet with, "HAPPY NOW!" Surely, this is an expansive example to set--and one to follow, with vigor.
I see you, Jim Young

There are many occasions during holidays for meeting with friends, as well as expanding our source of friends. On one occasion just recently, I had the delightful opportunity to have a deeply inspiring conversation with a friend, Doug Stowe, an extraordinarily creative and accomplished wood sculptor (my description) and an inspirational, revered teacher, who described--and who generously models--what he calls, "Wisdom of the Hands." Doug defines this principle in the purpose of his blog:
"This blog is dedicated to sharing the concept that our hands are essential to learning--that we engage the world and its wonders, sensing and creating primarily through the agency of our hands. We abandon our children to education in boredom and intellectual escapism by failing to engage their hands in learning and making."
As one who devoted three decades to education on many levels, while listening to Doug speak about the connection of hands to wisdom, I thought I had been powerfully connected with the Voice of Wisdom itself. Examine this sampling from his blog on Dec. 24:
"I picked up my daughter at the airport last night and look forward to having her with us for nearly a month. She told me about a class she took in school last semester, in which arising technology was proclaimed as the solution to growing problems. Growing up in Arkansas with a very hands-on education and background in crafts she was disappointed in that approach. It seems that when we have little or no actual experience in the making of real things and the doing of real things, and have had little time as witness to the avalanche of complications and consequences that can result from even minor changes, it is easy to project a rosy scenario built upon hope and fishes...
"...It is in fixing things that you learn the weak points in what others have done. By making things, you learn the relationship between simplicity, complexity and unexpected consequences. In being creative, attempt for very good reasons to simplify rather than make more complex. Make, fix, create... "...The word haywire...is a reasonably modern term derived from the wire used to bale hay. Something that is loosely held together can quickly come apart... an apt analogy for technology, where there are always loose ends and unexpected consequences. As things become more and more complex, the complications grow exponentially. "
Certainly, I hope you meet up with someone like Doug Stowe soon. Inspiration is sure to open the doors of Wisdom in ways that speak deeply to you. Thanks, Doug, for helping me remember the Wholeness of Wisdom's reality!
By all means, carry on a conversation with Doug: VISIT DOUG ON HIS BLOG

LIVING AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE IN AN ORDINARY REALITY... In the coming months, LIVING AN EXTRAORDINARY LIFE IN AN ORDINARY REALITY, the latest of the books to come from me, is scheduled to be published. Reviewers have already said that the book will inspire readers to find their way from the ordinary reality we find ourselves in, governed largely by our adherence to ego consciousness means, to live wholly from heart Wisdom, the overarching guiding Source, Truth, spiritual--Christ consciousness--which turns the seemingly mundane into its inherent, extraordinary divine reality. (reviews adapted for this purpose)
Citing passages found in the Gospel of John from a symbolic point of view, readers are guided to see that when one uses Source, Wisdom, rather than the imagined power of one's self-importance, as one's foundation for spiritual demonstration, such Wisdom creates an extraordinary way of living--from the inside out.
A brief example, extracted from, LIVING AN EXTRAORDINARY LIVE IN AN ORDINARY REALITY - Chapter One, The Prologue:
'In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things came into being, not one thing came into being except through him. What has come into being in him was life, life that was the light of men; and light shines in darkness, and darkness could not overpower it.'
'At the Source of any spiritually creative act or demonstration is our awareness of the voice of intuition, heard as inspiration, felt or experienced as enlightenment. Spiritually speaking, inspiration is the never-ending infinite Source being joined with its purpose--rendered as the demonstration of greatest good out into the universe. Intuition, the Logos, is the Word of God--the essence of our divinity--the Source providing fundamental order of the cosmos. Spiritually speaking, the nature of inspiration is what guides us in its expression.
'Nothing spiritual comes into being outside our awareness of this sacred Source. Whatever comes into being out of inspiration energizes and gives meaning to Life, making even the seemingly mundane sacred. Once embedded in the vast array of erroneous or ignorant ideas, we now suddenly experience enlightenment, and ignorance ceases to overpower spiritual reality in our minds and hearts. Indeed, out of darkness comes the Light: intuition, inspiration heard as the still, small voice that enlightens us with deeper meaning. Infinite goodness awaits only our awareness.'
I'll keep you posted about the publication date; right now, it looks like it will be late winter or early spring. Thanks for your continued interest!

Letting Wisdom bring us peace...
Recently, I received from a friend an excerpt from an article in the Christian Science Monitor. As we surrender ourselves to the Wisdom found in an infinitude of "nows," we would do well to pay heed to Wisdom. In this citation, Christ refers to Christ consciousness, the Word, Source, Inspiration, Truth, Wisdom, among the synonyms for God.
"The cacophony of the human mind doesn't override the Christ-message. Peace doesn't have to be lost along the way. The message of the Christ gets through. The stilling of storms, emotional as well as physical, takes place. Once human consciousness yields to the presence of the Christ, thought settles into a calmer state. The mental noise, emanating from a thousand small-time worries, clamors for our attention. But the voice of Truth, heeded in prayer, shuts down that noise, while it upholds our mental clarity and calm. Things like strain and fear and stress grow less insistent. Then, as we continue to reclaim our poise, we can listen more effectively, and reason with more inspiration."
A related quote: "Each moment, God (Source, Inspiration, Wisdom, Christ Consciousness, etc.) is furnishing the opportunity to begin anew." (Ella W. Hoag)
