CREATION SPIRIT NEWSLETTER AUGUST 2010
|
|
|
Dear Friends With A Creation Spirit,
Seemingly out of nowhere, from whence grace sends endless gifts, a friend shared the image found below with me. I share it with you so you can have a daily reminder of how to begin your day.
I have suggested here and elsewhere the idea of writing Namasté on note stickers and placing them all around your home and workspace. You will recall that Namasté is a Hindi (in Sanskrit) greeting meaning: I honor your divinity, doing so out of my own divinity. Such a practice becomes habit, and we soon come to greet life around us with the dignity and reverence such a greeting commands of us. As we demonstrate this simple act throughout each day, we begin to see others and ourselves in a more dignified and more sacred way.
The picture appearing here is sent along for that same reason: as a reminder that when we see ourselves from a larger perspective than normally has been the case, we grow into that renewed perspective, beginning immediately. Thus I remind you to see yourself as divine, for divine you are. And when you begin your day seeing yourself as divine, all around you will take on that same image and likeness: divine. In no time at all life will change before your very eyes. Try it--you'll like it. Of this I am sure.
Namasté, and happy reflections!

 | 2013! The Beginning is Here.
|
| | As announced in the July Creation Spirit Newsletter, I have been editing and contributing to a book dealing with the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012, associated earth changes and the Mayan prophecies. The title of the book, scheduled to come out in the fall, 2010, is: 2013! The Beginning is Here. In this issue, I continue sharing excerpts from my chapter, entitled: "So? Live 2013 Now!"
Before I do, here are a few quotes from other chapters that may entice you:
Nicolya
Christi: "We are moving beyond the universal law of attraction, based on
cause and effect and an acquisition mentality and into the Law of Elevation,
founded on higher universal laws that we are now ready to embody." Ervin Laszlo: "Will the coming
of a chaos point in human societies coincide with the famous 2012 prophecies? Many people say so, but such claims need
to be substantiated. For the most part, the claims refer to esoteric prophecies
coming from traditional cultures. These may convey important information and
merit being known. But is there scientific evidence to back them up?" José A. Arguelles: "The process of arriving at
this globalized condition has occurred so rapidly that the human mind, with its
various provincial values shaped by antagonistic tribal, religious and
nationalistic beliefs, has hardly had a chance to rise up from the conflict it
has engendered to see that we are in actuality a single planetary organism.

 | So? Live 2013 Now!
|

When
tying the ending of the Mayan Calendar to the destruction of our planet in
2012, I am tempted to ask only, "So?" If we look at the endless prophecies that
predicted the end of our planet at a given time and in certain ways, we readily
see that not a single one has come true.
Here we are, still. Could
it be this record of prophetic failure on the physical plane speaks to the end
of life on another dimension--the end of utilizing the more superficial levels
of consciousness from which we often draw life?
As
another example of "evidence," the hieroglyphs from Maya antiquity do tell
stories. So--are these stories
about the Maya culture or ours, and for what purpose? Certainly, their glyphs, like those found in Egypt, in the
Southwest and elsewhere, do tell stories--about
the natural evolution of their spiritual consciousness, as is true for all cultures. In this case, the stories the glyphs depict are not even
uniform among various locations in the Maya culture, so how could any single
one of them be right for us? Don't
you think it's rather narcissistic of us to think this is all about us?
Of
course, there are those who benefit by our collective and individual compulsion
to engage such information and live from fear rather than going within to our
center of peace and equanimity.
The end-timers and those who espouse Armageddon as the sure and final
chapter for us all would hasten this so-called impending disaster, so they
could ascend sooner rather than later, leaving the rest of us behind. Then there are those who gain
financially by producing and selling goods and services to those in a state of
vulnerability and fear, repeating a practice seen at other times in our
history.
Again
I ask, "So?" So, none of these
views, elements or potential influences are any of our business, not at
all. How others want to envision
and live their lives is up to them and we need to respect that right. However, respecting their right to
differ doesn't mean we should take on their ways and beliefs as our own. Our single imperative is to listen
inward and follow only the direction found inward. By doing so, we not only bring spiritual order to our lives,
at the same time we inspire others to follow our example--so we can join in
walking in our Truth rather than in what others want for and from us.
To
be sure, there are influences on our
planetary life, but worry cannot change any of them. To be sure, worry never fixed or changed anything. No matter
how many potential influences others speak of creating a threat to our
well-being in 2012, the only practical thing we can do is shift our perspective
about them, and to understand if we live only in this moment, true to our inner
guidance, this is the very best we can do for ourselves--and all around us. It strikes me that the Serenity Prayer
used in Alcoholics Anonymous fits perfectly here: "God grant me the serenity to
accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and
the wisdom to know the difference."
We cannot change these disruptions that may affect our planet, but we
can change how we see the planet, and behave accordingly. When we take a broader view, we come to
see it is fortunate that such potential forces in our lives do have an impact
on us--do inspire us to consider if we are doing all we can to live
compassionately and holistically.
