Celebrate Going Local Week! September 3-11
Do Something Local Everyday
We'll make it easy for you.
Local music, food, film, discounts, prizes and more will be offered during Going Local Week Sept. 3 to 11 in Bloomington. Included will be a Todd Snider concert at Upland Brewery, Community Kitchen's Chef Challenge at Buskirk-Chumley Theater and a grand finale with local bands and comedy at The Bishop. We will be handing out coupons (see below for coupons), raffle cards and information at the Sept. 4 Farmer's Market, on the Local First Indiana website and at various events during the week. Shoppers are encouraged to do something local every day through a raffle coordinated by Local Growers Guild for purchasers of local products. We have a number of events confirmed for this week, but have more coming in, so check back with us for updates.
Going Local Week is part of an annual statewide effort inspired by a blog written by Victoria Wesseler of Lebanon, Ind. |
