Knowing Neuropathy

Patients in the Chicago area gathered at the Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook to hear Dr. Ahmet Hoke from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine speak about peripheral neuropathy... What causes it? What kinds of treatments are there? What works....what doesn't? And, what research is being done?

With a Q&A session that allowed everyone to ask Dr. Hoke questions, the evening seminar was a great success! Patients with chemo induced neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, and other causes were able to get up to date information.

Watch for the video of the seminar to be posted on our website. In the meantime, check our website for other good resources!

10 for 10

We all make small sacrifices every day that make the world a better place. Imagine the possibilities if we join together to bring hope and lasting change to those suffering with PN...

We have just launched our 10 for 10 campaign asking everyone to donate $10 for 10 months. Or - donate $10 and ask 9 family members or friends to donate $10.

Imagine the possibilities if each of us raised $100...

Establish Young Investigator Fellowships to enable young investigators to engage in research

Fund the Peripheral Neuropathy Research Registry (PNRR) to develop studies for clinical trials

Raise awareness through webinars, conferences, and educational materials.

What will you sacrifice to raise $100 in 10 months?

            Pack your lunch.

Skip 2 trips to your favorite coffee shop.

Rent a movie instead of going to the theatre.

Drink tap water instead of bottled water or soda.

Or, imagine the possiblilites if we could reach the 20 million Americans who are suffering from PN and each one gave $1? Every donation - large or small - counts. It will take all of us doing our part....

Together we can make a difference!

New Drug Application Filed for Qutenza 8% Patch to Treat HIV-PN

Qutenza has already been approved by the FDA as a 60-minute treatment for post-herpetic neuralgia. Now, a new 30-minute treatment for HIV-PN has been submitted to the FDA through their Priority Review program. HIV-PN is the most common complication of HIV infection. Approval of this treatment would be especially important as HIV-PN represents a significant unmet need in the HIV community.
