Star Singers at the Game

The JK and Kindergarten students from every Fairmont campus joined together to sing the National Anthem at the Fairmont Family Football  game last week. Our campus had 40  little students that participated . Even though a few of them were nervous, they all stood bravely on the Yorba Linda High School track and sang their hearts out. They knew the song better than some of the adults in the stands! It was a great way to start a very fun evening. Thanks to our music teacher, Mrs. Zavoral, and to the JK & Kindergarten teachers for preparing the students to be star singers!

Junior High Spirit Day!
The halls were filled with sports jerseys on Wednesday, as the Junior High celebrated its first spirit day of the year.  Eighth grade wore football jerseys, seventh grade wore basketball jerseys and sixth grade wore soccer jerseys. There was a classroom competition and the class with the most participation earned a free dress day...so the stakes were high!  The winning class was sixth grade and they get free dress on Monday!

Spirit Day 2In the afternoon we held our winter sports pep rally on on the turf and the DSL Volleyball team, DSL Football team, Tri-Way Volleyball team and Tri-Way Football teams are introduced to a loud ovation of appreciation and support for representing the Anaheim Hills campus!  We are so proud of their efforts during practice and games, we know how hard it is to juggle homework and practice...thank you!  After the teams were introduced there was a fourth through eighth grade competition, in which the girls had to get a volleyball in a bucket, the football players had to pass a football through a hoop and then a paper bag was filled with water and the class representative had to try to throw it over a goal post!!  It was so much fun and SO loud as each class cheered on their classmates. The winning class was the seventh grade and they won...yes, a free dress day!
