Angels GameSports Highlight: Fairmont Family Night Angels Game
We loved seeing the whole Fairmont Family out cheering the Angels on to victory last Friday! We even congratulated our very own Fairmont Prep baseball star Felipe Perez with this message up on the big screen!

Whether it's watching or playing the game, athletics are an important part of elementary, junior high and high school. We are pleased to offer so many DSL and Tri-Way sports at Anaheim Hills, and encourage our student athletes to continue to play sports at Fairmont Prep by participating in one of the following CIF teams: Cross Country, Football, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball and Softball.

"Week of the Young Child"

Week of the Young ChildWe celebrated "Week of the Young Child" all week with many amazing activities!

The purpose of the Week of the Young Child™ is to

focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

NAEYC first established the Week of the Young Child™ in 1971, recognizing that the early childhood years (birth through age eight) lay the foundation for children's success in school and later life. The Week of the Young Child™ is a time to plan how we--as citizens of a community, of a state, and of a nation--will better meet the needs of all young children and their families.

Pre-school started the week off with a music program about "Super, Super Kids." All the children danced and moved to the beats of the music and heard a positive message about how important they are.  A dental demonstration was held on Tuesday with toothbrushes for everyone! They talked about the importance of brushing your teeth and taking care of your body. On Wednesday we all heard a great presentation about nutrition and how important it is eat right. We learned about different types of beans and all got to try three different kinds of beans...yum!  On Friday it was international day and all the pre-schoolers got to try different foods from other cultures. We also had a language demonstration with "Cosmo the Dog!"

In kindergarten and first grade there was "Grandparent Reading Day" and self-portraits about how important all our children are. Students also wrote "I am special paragraphs" to reinforce the importance of positive self-esteem!  There were also special fun activities with bubble-blowing and Popsicle snacks during the week!
