Fairmont Family Night at the Angel Game
Library Renovations are Moving Right Along!
Yes, dry-wall! The library really took shape this week as the dry-wall was installed and all of the ceiling framing was completed! The framing for the new windows and doors were finished and the glass will be installed early next week.
Valentine's Day Skate Party at Holiday Skate Center
Hearts afire and wheels a-spinning! Over 100 people attended the Valentine's Day Skate Party and it was a blast! Watching Mr. Drake and Mrs. Jarvis skate the Hokey-Pokey was wonderful and funny too!
We had pre-schoolers (great job Aiden R.!), elementary students, junior high students, parents, teachers and staff twirling and spinning (sometimes unintentionally!!) to great songs of the past and present. The two hours flew by and there were so many happy faces ready to go home and rest!
Junior High Ski Trip to Mountain High Ski Resort
The Junior High had an incredible day hitting the slopes for a wonderful day of skiing and snowboarding! The sky was so blue and the weather was perfect, and the snow was great considering how little snow Southern California has had this year!

4th Graders Make Music with Chinese Visitors
Last week, our international students visiting from China joined the 4th Graders in Mrs. Zavoral's music class! First, students played call & response games using the African drums, guiros, cow bells, finger cymbals, tambourines and cabasas. Next, the 4th Graders worked in small groups to teach our international friends how we read rhythms in 2/4 meter and keep the beat. All of the students were able to play various rhythms together as a large ensemble. Finally, the day ended with everyone playing "We Will Rock You." The visitors said goodbye in Chinese and gave every 4th Grader a "high five" to thank them for such a great time!
The 12 international students have been visiting our campus for a five week intensive course in US History. They are staying with Fairmont host families, and they plan to attend US Universities in the near future. It's been a great opportunity for the students at Anaheim Hills to interact with these visitors. We are so glad they could enjoy some music making with the 4th Graders!
