CHOC Toy Drive

Thank you so very much to all of our wonderful and generous families! So many children's holidays in the hospitals and clinics of CHOC will be blessed because of your kind generousity. All of the students here at Fairmont had a wonderful time seeing the Harleys roll onto campus to pick-up the toys. They loved seeing Santa and getting a candy cane too! Director of the Day, Faith Simpson

Faith Simpson was the Director of the Day this week on Tuesday, December 6 and did an absolutely amazing job! She started off her day with the morning announcements and signed a lot of important documents (Mr. Drake kept asking for a big raise!). Faith then handed out the Honor Roll certificates at the 4th/5th grade and Junior High Honor Roll Assemblies. Thank you, Faith for a job well done!

Santa Train

Many thanks to the marvelous efforts of the FPA for creating another opportunity for families to spend quality time together! The Santa Train was a huge success this year. The lights were all twinkling and the smell of hot chocolate filled the air. The train ride through the forest was beautiful and wonder-filled...especially with Santa being at the end of the ride. Truly a child's dream come true! It was so wonderful to feel the holiday spirit in the air...

BMX Bike Show

As a result of reaching our goal in the magazine drive, the school won an exciting BMX Bike show! The bike show will be filled with high-flying bike acts and thrills!

Friday, December 16

Please join us for the Cougar Coffee on the basketball court 7:30-8:30am. Don't forget to pick up your "Champ-a-Claus" cut-outs to take along with you during Winter Break!

Pre-School Winter Sing-A-Long Spectacular!

With visions of sugar-plums dancing in their heads, the pre-schoolers preschool winter

sang their hearts out for their parents and friends! They sang and jived and waved and pranced. The show was a glorious culmination of many hours of practice. There were reindeers (P3: Ms. Mancini, Ms. Brooks, Mrs. Lerma and Ms. Aguirre) singing "Up on the Housetops" and "Jingle Bells," rock stars (P4: Mrs. Morin, Mrs. Rasmussen and Ms. Richard) with guitars and maracas singing "Feliz Navidad" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and Santas (P4: Ms. Aguilar and Mrs. Kellison) singing "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town!"

The finale was all of the pre-schoolers singing "Jingle Bell Rock", "It's a Small World" and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"...it was a wonderful program and we hope that it helped get everyone in the "holiday spirit"!
