The pre-schoolers planted sweet peas, sunflowers, and marigolds. They are very excited to see them all start growing. Check it out if you are on the playground!

| Cougar Chorus sings at Sunrise Senior Living!
On Saturday, Oct 23, a host of Fairmont's Cougar Chorus members spent their Saturday morning singing at the Sunrise Senior Living Center in Yorba Linda. About 25 elderly citizens were entertained with songs including "Simple Gifts" and "Let's Go Fly a Kite." The chorus includes 62 children from 3rd, 4th and 5th grade, and is conducted by our music teacher, Mrs. SarahLynn Zavoral.
After a short performance, the chorus members were paired off in groups to visit with the "grandmas" and "grandpas." During the visiting time, the students played hand-clapping games and silly songs with the seniors to help brighten their day. One staff member at Sunrise said, "I was so impressed with how well the children were able to talk and interact with the citizens!"
Liam Patel and Thomas Ling, both in 4th grade, were paired up with Grandpa Joe. They said that "he liked social studies and learning about Abraham Lincoln when he was our age. And he was in a choir, too!" Tiffany Skates, in 3rd grade, found another grandpa who was also excited to see the young children. "He took pictures of us on his cell phone!" Fairmont's chorus certainly created a buzz at Sunrise. Both children and "grandparents" left the event with smiling faces.

"OneCause"
5 Seconds Can Earn Our School THOUSANDS!
The Fairmont Parent Association is proud to share an exciting fundraising program. The reason it is so exciting is that YOU can help earn money for our campus by doing nothing more than your normal shopping.
We have partnered with OneCause in an effort to offer an amazingly easy way to raise funds for our school! OneCause has over 900 vendors that contribute a percentage of the total sale for every online purchase you make. The wonderful part is that there are so many vendors that many of us regularly shop. The list is so extensive that it is best to review it at the OneCause site. Here are some stores you probably recognize:
Oriental Trading Barnes & Noble Borders Cost Plus Target Amazon Chico's Crate & Barrel 1-800-PetMeds Dell Ebay Bloomingdales 1-800-Contacts Best Buy Florist.com Hotels.com Nordstrom JCPenney Lancome Finish Line Disney Store PetSmart NutriSystem REI Restaurant.com Pur Minerals Sephora The Great Indoors Toys R Us Verizon Wireless Walmart Wine.com Williams-Sonoma Wet Seal West Elm White House Black Market
Remember, joining OneCause is free and only takes a few minutes. Your friends and family can join as well to help earn money for our school. Simply shop as you normally do online, accessing OneCause.com to link to the vendor you wish to shop. There are no special codes you must enter.
The best part is that you can get started in 3 easy steps!!!
1. Go to www.onecause.com and click "Join" 2. Fill in your profile and find your school by typing in "Fairmont Private", then select your campus. 3. Find your vendor and start shopping!
Your profile will be updated quarterly to reflect any contributions you have earned for us. This is such an easy way to make money for our school that does not require any work on your part other than registering and spreading the word.
So, please join your FPA in enrolling in OneCause and spreading the word to your friends and family. Please contact your FPA Board for more details.
Thank you in advance for your support!
