TOMORROW at 11AM: City Council Sub-Committee

To quote our friends and neighbors at the West End Preservation Society (WEPS), as we teamed up to spread the word via Twitter last week ...

"It's what we've been waiting for!

         WHO:
City Council Sub-Committee on Landmarks

       WHEN:
TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 3, at 11AM
It's difficult to say how long the hearing will run; the timing is largely
dependent on the number of individuals and organizations that sign-in
to speak.  The earlier you arrive and sign-in, the earlier you may be
called to speak, so plan to arrive as close to 11AM as you can!

    WHERE:
250 Broadway, 16th Floor Committee Room

There are a number of ways to show your support. Attending tomorrow's public hearing is the #1 most important thing you can do (as Woody Allen said, "80% of success is showing up."). Whether you plan to make a personal statement, submit written testimony, or simply show your "silent support," being there makes a difference!  Please let us know if you are planning to attend.

If your schedule does not permit you to join us, please take a moment to express your support of this landmark designation in writing.  Everything you need to contact your elected officials can be found right on our blog.

Whether you're a resident, business or property owner, neighbor, or general lover of West End Avenue, Riverside Drive, and the row house sidestreets in between, your participation in this upcoming hearing is essential.  Please make every effort to attend and put your support of the Riverside-West End HD Extension I -- and the two additional historic district extensions, also anchored by West End Avenue, that are still awaiting their votes at the Landmarks Commission -- on the record at Public Hearing!

We'll see you tomorrow at 250 Broadway!
