Join LW! and author Mosette Broderick for a slide lecture and book signing for Triumvirate: McKim Mead & White - Art, Architecture, Scandal, and Class in America's Gilded Age.

November's slide lecture was a sell-out, so Professor Broderick has kindly granted friends of LW! another opportunity to hear this intriguing lecture.

*"Mosette's talk is both entertaining and scrupulously researched. I recommend it for anyone who is interested in New York City architecture." ~Lori Zabar, attendee at November slide lecture

Triumvirate  is a rich, fascinating saga of the most influential, far-reaching architectural firm of their time and of the dazzling triumvirate--Charles McKim, William Mead, and Stanford White--
who came together, bound by the notion that architecture could
help shape a nation in transition. They helped to refine America's idea of beauty, elevated its architectural practice, and set the
standard on the world's stage.

The IRT Powerhouse on W 59th St was designed by Stanford White of McKim, Mead & White and constructed in 1904.
(A Landmark in waiting!)

Professor Mosette Broderick is the Director of the Urban Design and Architecture Studies at New York University.
