WHAT: Final public hearing on "Riverside Center" development

WHEN: Tuesday, November 23, starting at 9:30 AM

WHERE
: City Council Chambers, City Hall

This is it--your final opportunity to make your voice heard in a public forum on the proposed mega-development at Riverside Center,
the large site immediately north of the former IRT Powerhouse.

Even if you cannot stay for the entire public hearing, please stop in and fill out a form registering your position on the development.  Take a moment to review the latest Community Board 7 position statement and learn more about how you can participate in this final stage of the public process.

"Riverside Center" is the last undeveloped parcel of the vast Riverside South project that stretches along the Upper West Side waterfront from 59t
h to 72nd Street.  Come learn more about developer Extell's application to modify previous special permits to build a set of 5 new towers (approx. 3 million gross square feet) between West 59th and 61st Streets, West End Avenue to Riverside Boulevard/West Side Highway.

Please also take this moment to reiterate your support for designating the Powerhouse as a New York City Landmark.  It's been nearly a year and a half(!) since the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing to consider giving the Powerhouse the protected status it deserves.  What are they waiting for?  The Commission needs to hear from you!
