Slow Food O'ahu Cooking Club - Members Only Starting Sunday November 7, 2010 4:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Folks,
we are ready to get started with our Slow Food Oahu Cooking Club! We
will have the kick-off at Gayle Goodman's house in Kaimuki, who will be
the primary contact for the club.
The set-up: Members will take
turns hosting the club. This includes planning a menu, shopping for
groceries, organizing the experience, and teaching and/or demonstrating
how to cook the food. Location can be at the host's home or at another
location of their choosing. You can choose the cap for participants
depending on space available.
The meal: It doesn't have to be a
multicourse or formal meal, but should provide food for a satisfying and
interesting cooking and eating experience for participants. It doesn't
have to be professional quality, but something the host loves cooking
and would like to share, or would love to try cooking with the help of
the others. It will be BYOB, if desired.
Participants: Will
have a commitment to arrive in time to do prep together, to help cook
and to stay to clean up, and of course, eat together. Participants will
contribute for groceries when they arrive, with a cap of $10-15 per
person unless specifically announced otherwise at the time of sign up.
Our first cooking club will take place on: Sunday, November 7th 4:30 -7:30PM 1407 Koko Head Ave. 386 5363 cell , 734 5363 home Host: Gayle Goodman
Limited space-10 people
RSVP to goodman.gayle@gmail.com.
Spaces will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. If you may be
interested for the future, respond to let Gayle know, and we will
include you in future announcements.
