PLTA Recommends: Special CTWC Meeting
The Future of Texas Drought

Thursday, Jan 12th, 6PM

From our Inbox:

(Dear PLTA eNews);

Thank you for your continued support of the Central Texas Water Coalition.  We hope that you will pass along our invitation to hear the State Climatologist, John Nielsen-Gammon, talk about the Texas Drought on January 12th at Carlos' N Charlie's!  Meet and greet starts at 6pm, presentations at 6:30 pm.  Hey, come early and have dinner and support our local business!

CTWC will provide an update on current events and the proposed new Water Management Plan to be voted on by the LCRA January 18th.  We hope EVERYONE will put that date on their calendars too!  We need to come out and let the LCRA the new plan must be passed, and that we cannot repeat of the massive water fluctuations of 2011.  Had the new plan been in place during 2011, we would probably be at end of August lake levels now!

Travis County Commissioner Karen Huber will be on hand to talk about her recently released Lake Travis Economic Impact Study, and Burnet County Judge Donna Klaeger will discuss the proposal for the Economic Impact Study of Burnet and Llano Counties.  CTWC will conduct a Q & A for everyone in attendance.

Again, thanks for your commitment.  Our wish for you this year is health, happiness, and progress for sustainability of our water resources.

Best, Janet
