Appreciating My Family

Previous to attending an ILoA workshop, my weekends were rarely enjoyable due to various commitments and obligations that seemed to continually bring stress to our family.

Friday night while driving home from the workshop, I decided I would try some of the principals I learned that day.  I purposefully decided to begin focusing on all the things I really did enjoy about my husband and children.

Instead of becoming worried about the usual weekend stresses, I got up the next morning thinking loving thoughts about my family and expecting to have a good day.

To my amazement, I had a great weekend with my husband and my kids. In fact it was one of the best weekends we'd had in a long time.  Thanks to the Law of Attraction my good thoughts brought me more good things to appreciate!

PM & G

Recently, a Law of Attraction associate of ours passed along a great tip so we thought we'd pass it along to you as well.

Recall that Law of Attraction is always bringing us the essence of our thoughts and the only time that we can generate a thought is NOW.

Thus, it's important to be aware of the thoughts we are thinking.  The easiest way to do this is by paying attention to how we feel so that our Emotional Guidance System can kick in.

Unfortunately, many of us have developed the habit of ignoring how we're feeling, getting immersed in the moment, regardless of whether it feels good or not so good.

When you notice that you're having one of these not-so-good feelings, think about this simple acronym:

"PM & G".  This stands for Present Moment and Gratitude.

In that moment of negative awareness, tell yourself to become Present.  That is, stop what you're doing, look around, feel the environment you're in, listen to the sounds around you and just be for a minute.

Next, find something to be Grateful for.  Anything that you can find that allows you to feel gratitude or, even better, appreciation, will do.  Dwell on that for a moment and then go back to what you were doing.

You will most likely find that you are in a better state of mind and the troubling issue will have lessened its grip on you.

Doing this not only makes you feel better but now Law of Attraction can start bringing you more things to feel good about.

Setting an Outlook reminder to pop up once in a while with "PM & G" in the subject line is one way to be sure that you remember to do this.

Don't forget, all of your power is NOW so when you recognize that you're not feeling good, think PM & G!
