The Appreciation List

To get started on your Appreciation List, it's helpful to already be in a positive state of mind.  To assist with this, get out your Feel Good List and glance over it.

Next, get a piece of paper or start a document on your computer and start writing things that you appreciate in your life.  Title it, "Things that I appreciate in my life".  You'll notice that many of the things on your Feel Good List will qualify for the Appreciation List as well.

Unlike with the Feel Good List, the Appreciation List should be of things that you appreciate NOW.  The reason is because things you appreciated in the past might be gone and so can instead create a feeling of remorse.  Things that haven't happened yet that you're trying to appreciate can start to feel like frustration because they haven't happened.

So stay in the present moment and write down whatever flows into your head that makes you feel appreciation when you think about it.  Writing out a sentence sometimes helps.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

I appreciate...

· My sister/brother/mother/father because ...
· That I have the eyes, mind, education to read and understand this information
· That I have ears to hear beautiful music
· That I can taste and enjoy delicious food
· That my body can heal any condition or illness
· That I have enough money to take care of my basic needs
· That I have a roof over my head at night and a warm bed to sleep in
· That I live in the most free country on the planet
· My dog/cat/goat/etc because ...
· Warm weather in the summertime
· A hot shower or bath in the winter
· That the economy goes in cycles and is now on the upswing
· That I have a talent to do ...
· That the laws of the Universe are consistent and predictable
· That I have an inner being that loves me unconditionally and is always giving me guidance

How do you feel after having read this list?  Hopefully even better than when you made your Feel Good List. If so then you're continuing to move in the right direction.

Read your Appreciation List right before you go to sleep at night and when you wake up in the morning.  It might be helpful to keep it next your bed or posted on the bathroom mirror.

Do this for 30 days and take note of the changes that start to happen in your life as a result.  Repetition reinforces your vibrational state and thus improves your point of attraction very quickly so try to be consistent.

In part three, we'll be focusing on what makes you great. This is the most powerful of the three steps so you won't want to miss it!

Real-Life LoA Story

Winter Sports

My seven-year-old son, Anthony, comes to me and says, "Mom, all I want Santa to bring me this year is winter sports. Only, ice skates, skis, a new snow board and a sled."  I looked at him lovingly and said "That's it, huh?"  Then, the five-year-old twins chimed in with their lists, tacking on their requests from Santa for "winter sports" as well.

Had I looked at the situation as if I was Santa Claus, I may have gotten discouraged.  However, I live a miracle mindset with a firmly anchored belief that anything is possible, so I waited and remained open and receptive for opportunities to acquire "winter sports".

The miracles began shortly after his request.  We went to an antique mall to find their father a birthday present and the kids found a booth with all kinds of old "winter sports", snow shoes, skis, old sleds.  The kids and I looked at the beautifully handmade, fine quality of the gear and went about our day.  The magic had begun.

Within the month, my eldest sister called me and asked if my kids needed ice skates because she had 3 pairs that no longer fit her children and were the exact right sizes for mine.

As I was helping a friend move her belongings, she asked me to load some items into her car.  She said, "There are some things in there for the Salvation Army, just move them aside".  Lo and behold, skis with poles and boots just the right size for a seven-year-old boy.  I asked her if I could have them and she replied, "Yes, I certainly won't need them in Arizona".

The next day, I went back again to the antique mall to look at a snow shoe design and there was a large sale happening at the booth where the children had been looking at the old skis.  The handmade children's skis with poles were on sale for $20.  For one day only.  SOLD.  Now, I had 2 sets of skis and 3 sets of skates.

I had always planned on buying the sleds (even before the request from Santa for winter sports) and found them for a great price at Costco.  It was 4 days before Christmas and I was pleased with the results of my son's manifestations so far so I continued to allow my mind to be open for the possibility of acquiring the snowboards.

I was teaching an Outdoor Adventure camp with a few friends of mine when I mentioned I needed to manifest some snowboards.  The man I was teaching the class with said he'd check his attic.  He checked his attic and called his son, who was now grown, and he agreed to give my two boys his two snowboards.  On December 23rd I met him in a Kroger parking lot and he gifted me with the snowboards.

It was later that day, December 23rd, that Anthony and I were walking through a sporting goods store and he saw some snowboards and he smiled sweetly and said, "I know Santa will bring me my winter sports mom."  And he smiled with his head up and a skip in his step and walked by the snowboards with a spirit of enthusiasm, expectation and absolute faith.

On Christmas morning the living room was filled with "Winter Sports".  My childlike belief in Santa Claus has been renewed and I am thankful for all of the blessings!
