Long mistaken as a variation of Trebbiano, the Turbiana grape always stood out because it expressed a complexity and fragrance never found in other Trebbiano varieties. Well as it turns out, recent studies have proven through DNA research, that Turbiana is in fact its own grape variety and a remarkable one at that capable of pronounced aromatics all its own.
Planted in compacted clay soils, Turbiana yields few clusters per vine. Concentration is the natural result that ensures a heady aromatic wine full of scented fruit and beguiling floral notes.
