Dear Readers,
Wow, Memorial day has come and gone, the official start of Summer. Or is it?
I am excited to announce a new way to purchase my fine art prints. I will be including one print a newsletter for purchase at a special rate. The first image is entitled " Big Sky #1" and was taken from Mt Sentinel looking South. Read " Current Assignments" for more info.
Spring in the Rockies is inspiring. A friend took me on a treasure hunt in the mountains to search for Wild Calypso Orchids, also known as fairy slippers. About an hour into our climb we came across a bunch.

The rest of the hike was also magical, photographing lilies, pine drops, yellow glacier flowers and the beautiful morning light.
Am I becoming a nature photographer?
In truth I have always been one. It is all about light, form, composition and being inspired, regardless of the subject matter.
On other fronts, since I last wrote, May has been the month for class photos, donations and commercial shoots.
Thanks for taking the time to read about my Spring adventure. I hope you will also find the time to get out and explore and enjoy the summer.
