Neesha 2012

The image above is the cover of the most recent catalog I photographed for Neesha Fashion.
I am happy to say that the company is growing and I will be shoo
Neesha Catalogting their first Fall/ Winter catalog in the near future.
I have to admit the art director, Matt, did a great job finding backgrounds. My only regret is that we did not go to the exotic locations in the images.

Begleiter Architecture
I was excited to hear that one of the homes I photographed was featured in the trendy magazine Atomic Ranch. I had photographed the home for the Portland Architect
Webster Wilson. His style of renovation was a perfect fit for the publication.

Since the last newsletter I had the opportunity
to photograph Jamie and Nate's engagement
Jamie and Nate session. I include an engagement session in all my wedding collections. It is great way to spend some non-stress time with the couple before the " big event."

Happy Birthday Philip Glass: 75
Philip Glass
I had the privilege to meet and photograph  Philip Glass on several occasions, a big fan of his music. The image above was taken at his home in Manhattan in 1984.

Of course there are other projects brewing and ideas floating around and most importantly Spring is around the corner.

In between all the shoots I have also been busy submitting work to my architectural stock agency
LivedIn and my commercial stock agency in Australia ImageBrief.

Now is the time to start booking your senior portraits and weddings....

a young man

Dear Readers,

If you are wondering who that cute kid is to the left, well you guessed right, it was me at about age three. Why am I posting this pic in this issue...well this is the look back newsletter.

The image in the header was taken in 2001 for my  second book on The Art of Color Infrared Photography, the title,

"March Sunflowers",  expresses my general mood for the month of March.

I think I am looking back because after 8 years of storing my film cameras in the garage,  I finally decided to sell them.

At first I was saddened, which is sort of silly since they are just cameras, but we have had quite a history, which would be too lengthy to describe in a newsletter.  I will still miss them but in truth digital is all I use now for my professional images. I still have a 4 x 5 view camera,

and if I ever want to shoot film again..,well step aside Ansel.  I suppose someday I will look back at this apparent monumental decision in my career and wonder "what was that all about?"

Robin and Ursula

On to the present via the past.

I am excited to announce that one of my Pinup Images; Robin and Ursula (the rat) was selected as a semifinalist in a national competition for Pinup America Magazine and is appearing in their current March/April magazine. You can read more about it at : http://vintagebranding.wordpress.com/

One of my clients, Neesha is growing and have asked me to shoot their fall Catalog. That will be two catalogs a year..way to go Neesha and Matt!!!
