Dear Readers,
September, phew!!!! as I write this it is 86 degrees, smokey and sunny.
A lot has happened since the last newsletter; a senior portrait in Butte; a wedding at the Ranch Club; an assignment for the New York Times; Christy Kristal Pinup Shoot; an advertising shoot for a new Missoula client, and a shoot for an LA producer, a fashion catalog coming up and a move.
Starting with the last item, the move. After supporting a studio for three years I have come to the conclusion, since 98% of my work is on location, it is wiser to save the rent money. It was a great adventure and the space enabled me to produce creative projects and meet wonderful people. It is time to move on. So there is no confusion I will continue take on all assignments and will have access to a rental studio.
If you are not busy the end of September feel free to help me move some stuff. :)

The 2012 pinup calendar has become the 2013 pinup calendar, too complicated to explain. The new go-to person is Steve Robertson, a very talented ad man and bagpiper, shoot him an e-mail if you are interested in purchasing a month.
The very talented and award winning designer, Marlene of Hutchings Freerange Creative is designing the calendar. I am very excited to have them on board.
Still waiting to hear back from my publisher about the title and cover of my next book, hopefully I will have that in the next newsletter. NewsFlash: My book
" 50 Lighting Setups for the Portrait Photographers, Volume 2" is due out in June 2012. There is a cover but we are keeping it under wraps for a couple of months.
All and all, it was a good summer, no sting bites, bear attacks or sunburn. The family went flying, boating, swimming, camping and I built my first fence (with the help of a pro). Good fences make good neighbors.
