April showers, snow, sleet, and sun all in Missoula, in one day!!! what a Spring!

Right before I left for " family leave" I got a call from a designer in Chicago asking me to shoot an Ad for AvFuel, supplier of gasoline to airports around the world.  Minuteman Aviation  had just switched their fuel supplier and AvFuel wanted an dynamic image of their facilities in Missoula for an Ad to run in a Flight magazine.  

I scouted the location on Sunday, with my son who loves planes, and decided to shoot on Tuesday, while the weather was somewhat reasonable for Missoula in March.   

It was fun, and the folks at Minutemen were great as far as letting me direct. I had them move out a private jet from the hanger and got to stand on top of the fuel tanker to get a birds eye view. I happy to say the client was very please with the results. 

The day I got back from " family leave" I got a call from  Buckeye Hardwood and Lumber company that wanted to purchase an Architectural image I had taken for Edgell Building and Develpment to run on the cover of  Western Home Journal. Sweet!!!

The next day I received a call from the  photo editor, Jennifer Crandell,  I use to work for her when I shot for Us Magazine.  She is working on a cook book for the  Marcioni family who own the famous LaCirque  Resturaunt in NYC. I had photographed the owner and his sons in the 80's and they want that image in their cookbook. It brought back a memory of after the shoot the owner invited my assistant and I to have lunch.

We sat down to an amazing meal but what was more amazing is that next to our table was President Nixon and David Frost.  To top off the meal this elderly woman came up to me asking me for my autograph, thinking I was the actor Albert Brooks. Not to disappoint, I did give her my autograph.

Coming up in May, I will be shooting my first wedding of the season, more to come, Class photos for private schools and the  

launch the selling of months for the first 2012  Vintage PinUp Calender .
