Roger Helmer MEP (Hon. Chairman of The Freedom Association) launched The Freedom Association in Ulster in Belfast on 19 June.

Earlier, Roger met the First Minister, the Rt. Hon. Peter Robinson MP MLA PC, in his office at Stormont, after which the First Minister gave him and other Freedom Association Members a private tour of the building.

John and Laura Midgley, of the Campaign Against Political Correctness, arranged some excellent meetings, including a very interesting presentation by Neil Johnston, Campaign Director of the Northern Ireland Conservatives.

As a consequence of the launch weekend, we aim shortly to announce the appointment of a Freedom Association Ulster Spokesman, who will set about growing TFA Membership in the province.

The Freedom Association was founded in 1975 by Lord De L'Isle VC KG and Ross and Norris McWhirter CBE.  It is dedicated to defending individual freedom and national sovereignty.  A multi-issue pressure group, it is one of the most dynamic and active organisations on the political scene, with a growing youth and student wing.
