"Well done! Welcome to BETTER OFF OUT" was the message from Roger Helmer MEP, Hon. Chairman of The Freedom Association, when Tim Montgomerie, the Co-Editor of Conservative Home became the latest leading figure to come out in support of TFA's BETTER OFF OUT campaign.
Explaining his decision to join the growing majority of British people who want to free the United Kingdom from the corrupt, costly and anti-democratic European Union, Tim wrote,
"My own belief is that Britain would be better off outside of the EU. I
believe in a strong British-EU trading relationship but Britain should
govern itself. I've applied to join the Better Off Out group
and will be arguing for greater and greater independence for Britain
but from within the Conservative Party . . . because change comes from
within."With over thirty MPs and Peers in the newly formed joint Lords and Commons BETTER OFF OUT group, the momentum for freeing the UK from the EU is building.
Leading BETTER OFF OUT supporters have distinguished themselves in recent weeks. Daniel Hannan's demolition job on Gordon Brown's failed Premiership electrified people across the world, while Douglas Carswell MP, supported by Philip Davies MP and Philip Hollobone MP, led the move to rid the House of Commons of Michael Martin, a failed Speaker.
Meanwhile, a new
poll, commissioned by the TaxPayers' Alliance and Global Vision,
"has revealed that voters of all political allegiances, all social
classes and all regions are overwhelmingly in support of radical direct
action by the British Government against harmful EU policies".You've been denied an opportunity to vote on the renamed European CONstitution, so please
vote on whether or not you think we should leave the EU in our new online poll.As part of our campaign to provide prestigious platforms for some of the most outstanding Eurorealist candidates during this European "Parliament" election campaign, Nigel Farage MEP, Leader of the UK Independence Party, spoke at a
Freedom in the City event held on Wednesday 13 May in the
Council Chamber of the
Chartered Accountants' Hall. Earlier, on 25 April, Daniel Hannan MEP and Roger Helmer MEP spoke at a Free Spirits bash in Cheltenham.
