Educating Patients About the Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE)

Jordan Meadows Medical Center Story of Success

The staff at Jordan Meadows Medical Center in West Jordan has fully embraced quality improvement measurement and electronic health record use, under the guidance of their Beacon Community "Champion," Debra Bowen. Jordan Meadows is part of the HealthInsight Beacon Community Program, a national initiative to improve diabetes care processes. The staff was recently asked about their significant success in getting patients to consent to the Utah Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE). The front desk staff, instrumental to this accomplishment, shared their specific workflow processes for cHIE consent. <<FULL ARTICLE>>

The Road to Meaningful Use

Stage 2 Meaningful Use Proposed Rule Webinar

Recently, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced the proposed rule for Stage 2 Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record Incentive Programs. Since then, there's been a lot of buzz and plenty of questions surrounding the proposed rule. Rest assured your HealthInsight Regional Extension Center team is on top of this hot topic and is hard at work making sure your transition from Stage 1 to Stage 2 is seamless.

We know you do not have time to read the over 455-page document, so we are developing materials to help you understand the proposed changes. In addition, we are sponsoring this live webinar to discuss which changes affect you and collect your comments to send to CMS during the 60-day comment period.

There are two options available for you to attend.  Please click on one of the links below to register.
