Dear ,

Thank you Isle of Hope United Methodist Church!!!!!
Thanks for being such a great congregation. You have sought to be the kind of church that supports the call of Jesus Christ to make disciples. You have been open to so many ways to reach people with the Gospel. I have enjoyed working with so many leaders and participants in many areas of ministry including: Sparklers' Bible Study, Adult Ministry Council, Sanctuary and Anchor worship services, Children's Sermons, Confirmation Tour of Churches, Disciple Bible Studies, Jammin' July Classes, Evangelism, Getting Connected Classes and Lunches, Prayer Chain, Ladies Chorus, United Methodist Men, Acolytes and their Coordinators, Blood Drives, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Preschool Chapel, and many more.
Beth and I cannot thank you enough for the Adult Ministry Sponsored Lunch. Your cards, gifts, kind words, and fellowship meant so much to us.
A special thank you from the Preschool touched my heart. It reflects what I hope to have communicated about faith and discipleship through puppets and many other aspects of my ministry at Isle of Hope. Let me share with you what Graham Solona wrote:

                                  Preschool is a great place
                                   To learn, sing, and play.
When Dr. Parr comes in for Chapel
An awesome lesson is on its way.

Sammy the Snake sometimes doesn't remember
A friend we should not betray.
Dr. Parr reminds this sly fellow
That it's God we must obey.

                                  Fast Freddie is in a big hurry;
                                     He makes a cool display.
                                Slowdown, Freddie, take a breath.
When he gets the point, HOORAY!

                                  Buford doesn't see rainbows
When a cloud has a little gray.
He wants to be an eagle,
But, he is special in a BUZZARDY way!

                                    Coco will not always share,
We get that! We want you to stay.
But, the people in Columbus need you, now,
And Jesus' LOVE that you'll convey.

                                       So take care of Fiona-
                                 She's a baby, don't let her fray.
Give Rib and Bit plenty of flies,
Then, they will listen when you say, "Hey!"

No BONES about it, in your hands,
                                         Charlie will be okay.
Maybe you're showing us that in the Potter's Hands,
He is molding us like clay.

Thank you and your friends for showing His Love.
We will pray for you every day!
Remember the lessons that you taught us-
Trust in Jesus; He is the WAY.
Thanks again and  take care! In God's Service,

                                                                                      Frank Parr

Audio Seminar
Isle of Hope United Methodist Church will be hosting an Audio Seminar and Media Seminar on June 26, 2010 from 8 AM to 6 PM (meals are provided). Those who attend this seminar will receive the highest level of professional training on operating sound and media systems. We have invited Advantage Unlimited AudioSeminar from Jacksonville, FL to our church to provide two separate seminars: A HANDS ON Audio seminar and a MediaSeminar. AudioSeminar has trained over 25,000 church volunteers and they are the leader in church audio training. For more information about the seminar or to sign-up, go to their website at www.AudioSeminar.com. This training will teach individuals who attend general knowledge of a sound board that is useful for both the sanctuary and the fellowship hall.

Dear UMW Friends,
Thank you so much for the wonderful Brunch on May 11. The decorations, the food, the warm smiles and the loving hugs made it a memorable day. Thank  you to all the circles for their kind words and gifts, the wonderful songs and skits and the beautiful basket of notes and cards. The Chip Goldsmith painting will have a special place in our new home and will always remind us of our time on beautiful Isle of Hope and you. Our door is always open, so please come visit us. I was reminded once that without tears, the heart would have no rainbows...I've had a lot of rainbows over the past few weeks...thank you for my rainbows of friendship and love. I love you all.

Chatting with Children
Summer Sunday School for 4 Year Olds-5th Grade
We'll be Sailing the C's beginning June 6th
Ahoy Mates,
All hands on deck as we set out this summer Sailing The C's: Character, Competence, Chemistry, Calling, Courage, Compassion, Commitment and Celebration. All aboard June 6th as we hoist the main sail staying a float through August 8th. We will continue to start each Sunday in assembly with our Praise and Worship music, then remain in assembly for our teaching video. Children will understand God's purpose for them as they learn how to develop these Characteristics in their lives.
The Children will then be dismissed to their classes in the Preschool wing as follows:
4's & kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grades, and 4th & 5th grades
As we sail the "C of Compassion" learning that God wants us to show kindness to others, our Mission emphasis will be Christ Child's Nest. Each class will have milk cartons to collect spare change for the Christ Child's Nest orphanage in Guatemala. Remind the children that when they see a bouy to remember our offering keeps them afloat.
We will have Promotion Sunday, August 15th finishing Summer Sunday School learning it & living it.
"God's Big Back Yard"
Children's Summer Camp is set for July 12th-15th. Summer sign up's have been slow so if your child is planning to attend sign up ASAP. We will be making a decision about this camp based on registration.
