SCORE has been long thought of when it comes to Face to Face counseling for small businesses. It has been the "Go To" place for  One on One counseling sessions with a small business expert. Learn more about how we can help you and your business!

"Festivities" is one of the leading special event catering and design companies in the New York/Connecticut market. Learn how they got there.

Running a Small Retail Business after Jumping from the Corporate World: These "Lessons Learned" are intended to be product-neutral, generically oriented to small business yet at the level of working principles the discussion can likely apply to many other sizes of business.  Click here to read what they are.

Why is the Internet the fastest growing marketing medium?  Because most people today spend more time online than they do reading newspapers and magazines or watching TV. There are two good reasons you should invest in online marketing: Learn what they are.

Traditional marketing research done by large companies can be a very expensive proposition involving thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of dollars. Clearly this is not a realistic option for the small business or start-up. So what are the best options?

Why: Because every business needs a plan. It starts with where you've been and lays out where you want to go. These are your goals and objectives. Unlike personal plans, businesses exist to make money and as a result, we measure the success or failure of a business by its financial results. As a colleague once said "failing to plan is planning to fail". Learn how to best plan for your business.

Say you own a business. You've been running it for a while.  You've got customers. You've got a revenue stream. But your revenues are flat and you can't seem to generate the net income you had hoped. Maybe you don't know why. Or maybe you think you know but what you have tried hasn't worked. What can you do? We've got the answers.

Statement of Editorial Purpose
The seven Connecticut SCORE Chapters have combined their efforts to produce this bi-monthly e-Newsletter as a service to our clients and the larger small business community. Its purpose and content are guided by three objectives: To Guide, To Teach, To Inspire. We recognize that those objectives can ultimately only be achieved in personal interaction - Counseling -  person to person. We encourage you to actively continue the counselor / mentoring process, and to encourage others who may be just starting in business to contact one of the Chapters. We would also encourage you to participate either by comment on content or by submitting material for inclusion.
