A new generation of Eco-Guides in Colombia

The 3rd Eco-guide Training Course was undertaken by professional guides from 13-21 June in the Las Tangaras Bird Reserve with rural community citizens and Reserve Rangers. A new generation of highly trained guides in birding and nature guiding will provide outstanding services.

National Protected Area training course held

 

The 6th National Training course for Protected Area (PA) Rangers was held on 22-28 of June in Las Tangaras Reserve, Chocó. Rangers from over 15 PA's and 10 departments of Colombia received uniforms, equipment and intensive training.

Mayors from across Chocó visit Las Tangarasalcaldes

 

On June 22, ten municipality mayors from across the department of Chocó joined ProAves staff in Las Tangaras Reserve as part of the "First Summit of Chocó Mayors". The event also celebration 138 years of the town of El Carmen de Atrato where the reserve is located.
